Spring 6-Week Lamp Wheel-Throwing
The class will be a 6 week course focusing on designing and making lamp and decorative objects. Think vases, decorative items, and functional ware.
The lamps and objects will be wheel thrown and hand-built then assembled using techniques learned during class.
We will learn wheel throwing techniques, hand-building, and glazing. Participants will learn the assembly process for adding hardware and electrical components.
Electrical and metal hardware will be provided for one lamp object
Price includes all materials, clays, plaster and glazing. Firing fees are not included.
Stoneware, white, and speckled clay will be used in this class.
This class is designed for the hobbyist, beginner to advanced.
Firing fees apply at 8 cents per cubic inch. For example LxWxH x .08 or standard 3 x 3 x 3.5 cup will cost $2.52 to fire.
Registration/Cancellation policy: No refund, credit only if canceled one week prior to the class.
