Spring 6-Week Lamp Wheel-Throwing

 
 

The class will be a 6 week course focusing on designing and making lamp and decorative objects. Think vases, decorative items, and functional ware.

The lamps and objects will be wheel thrown and hand-built then assembled using techniques learned during class.

We will learn wheel throwing techniques, hand-building, and glazing. Participants will learn the assembly process for adding hardware and electrical components.

  • Electrical and metal hardware will be provided for one lamp object

Price includes all materials, clays, plaster and glazing. Firing fees are not included.

  • Stoneware, white, and speckled clay will be used in this class.

  • This class is designed for the hobbyist, beginner to advanced. 

  • Firing fees apply at 8 cents per cubic inch. For example LxWxH x .08 or standard 3 x 3 x 3.5 cup will cost $2.52 to fire.

Registration/Cancellation policy: No refund, credit only if canceled one week prior to the class.
