HAND CRAFTED
Each piece is crafted, fired and glazed individually, with no two identical pieces
Wilcoxson Brooklyn Ceramics is a Brooklyn based design studio focusing on ceramic tableware, design products, and lighting.
For our retail collections we use porcelain clay. Each porcelain piece is handcrafted combining Industrial Design to make a “New Modern” style of functional porcelain used in daily life.
Our new sister studio , Loft Ceramics Studio offers pottery wheel throwing ,hand building and slip casting. For wheel throwing we use white stoneware clay, similar to porcelain, but easier to use. Porcelain clay is also available at Loft Ceramics to use for hand-building ceramics.
In the studio, the porcelain clay is made from scratch. Each piece is fired in the kiln to 2250ºF resulting in translucent, food safe and dishwasher safe porcelain tableware.
Each piece is crafted, fired and glazed individually, with no two identical pieces
We focus on exploring the glazing on porcelain surface.
We recycle our clay scraps, so there is recycled content in every product. The Process is known as slaking.
The porcelain is fired in the kiln to 2250 ºF . All the firing is done in our Brooklyn studio.
